Hill side are in danger of losing their Premiership status, but that will not stop them scrapping for pride in Europe.
England scrum-half Shaun Perry will partner Ed Barnes at half-back, while brothers Luke and Tom Arscott team up in the backs.
Toulon, like Bristol, are already out of this season's Challenge Cup - so coach Tana Umaga has opted to rest several players.
Tiaan Liebenberg, Sonny Bill Williams and Matt Henjak are all benched for the match, while former All Black Jerry Collins is out for two months with an injury.
