Wales coach Warren Gatland has admitted he is expecting a physical confrontation when his side entertain Argentina at the Millennium Stadium.
Having lost to the All Blacks and beaten Samoa so far in their autumn internationals, Wales now turn their attentions to the Pumas - with Gatland looking for improvements from his squad.
However Gatland, who has made six changes for the clash, knows his side will have to front-up to the visitors.
"Argentina are a very physical side and we expect a tough encounter but we want to play some rugby," said Gatland.
"We expect them to kick a lot of ball so it's up to our back three to counter attack when there are chances, but we have to be smart and not run into brick walls.
"We're certainly looking to increase the tempo and intensity from last week's performance against Samoa. We only had a six-day turnaround after the All Blacks game and a few of the boys admitted they felt a bit flat, but they are all feeling fresh this week."
Gatland has recalled Stephen Jones, Shane Williams, Martyn Williams, Matthew Rees and Gareth Cooper, while 21-year-old centre Jonathan Davies makes his first start.
Missed
Argentina have enjoyed an impressive record over the Welsh, with four wins in their last six meetings.
However the Pumas go in to the match on the back of missing out on a victory over England - with coach Santiago Phelan knowing his side need to raise their game in Cardiff.
"That was a missed opportunity against England," said Santiago Phelan.
"The players played with pride but we should have attacked them more and that is something we want to improve against Wales.
"We have a good scrum but that is only part of the game. Perhaps we kicked too much and we need to improve our lineout, but every time we play, we play to win."
Phelan has made two changes, with Agustin Figuerola and coming in for Alfredo Lalanne and Esteban Lozada.
