Wales coach Warren Gatland admits he knows "what to expect" from Australia at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday.
Wales kick-off their autumn internationals against the in-form Wallabies, who enjoyed a decent Tri-Nations campaign and toppled New Zealand 26-24 last time out.
And although Australia go into the Test with the form, Gatland insists the games have given him the chance to fully scout the tourists.
"We need to get up to speed as quickly as possible for Australia," he said. "That was the one that let us down last year and was a major disappointment.
"They will be well prepared after a good Tri-Nations and facing the All Blacks but will have little time to change much, so we know what to expect."
Injuries mean Gatland has been forced to rejig his side for the match, with James Hook moving to full-back, Tom Shanklin coming into the centres and Will Harries named on the wing.
In the pack Sam Warburton has got the nod ahead of Martyn Williams to partner Dan Lydiate and Jonathan Thomas in the back-row.
With Ryan Jones among the number of players injured, Matthew Rees will skipper the side.
Australia centre Matt Giteau insists the Bledisloe Cup success over New Zealand will count for nothing if they lose to Wales.
The Wallabies ended New Zealand's 15-match winning streak in Hong Kong, but Giteau believes they must now build on this.
"We obviously have a lot of self-belief but the biggest challenge for us is to play two games back-to-back," said Giteau.
"We've been up and down for a few years where we play well for one game and not so well the next. We have to play consistent football."
Coach Robbie Deans has opted to name an unchanged line-up for the match.
