With South Africa clear at the top of the standings, it is between seemingly between Wales and Samoa for the last place in quarter-final.
A bonus-point win against the group whipping boys Namibia would be a big boost for Wales ahead of their clash with Fiji, whose last-eight hopes were ended by Samoa on Sunday.
It should be a memorable day for fly-half Stephen Jones, who will set a new appearance record for Wales when he wins his 101st cap.
And in a new-look Wales side, nine players will make their first World Cup starts - Lee Byrne, Leigh Halfpenny, Scott Williams, Aled Brew, Tavis Knoyle, Lloyd Burns, Craig Mitchell, Bradley Davies and Ryan Jones.
Hugo Horn will also set an appearance record with hooker set to play in his 11th World Cup game, surpassing the previous best by a Namibian of 10 by Heino Senekal.
However Horn has failed to win any of his previous 10 games - and he will join current Romania coach Romeo Gontineac in the record books for RWC losses should Namibia suffer the expected defeat in New Plymouth.
Horn is joined by the 35-year-old Jane du Toit in the front row, while coach Johan Diergaardt has also tweaked his backline.
Darryl De La Harpe comes in at inside centre, with Piet Van Zyl shuffling across to the No.13 shirt and Danie Van Wyk named on the wing.
