The Waratahs secured a place in the Super Rugby play-offs after beating the Brumbies 41-7 in Sydney.
Needing to win their final match of the regular season to clinch a wild card, the Waratahs ran in four second-half tries and will travel to New Zealand or South Africa in the play-off first round.
Kicker Kurtley Beale landed 16 points for the hosts and also created an early try, shrugging off a tackler and then releasing Lachie Turner, who outpaced the cover defence as he raced over from halfway.
The Waratahs had to wait until early in the second half for their next score, lock Sitaleki Timani driving over from close range.
Replacement Chris Alcock went over after an hour, crashing through four tackles to make it 27-0, and Sosene Anesi won a foot race to touch down a Luke Burgess kick-ahead nine minutes later.
Dave Dennis then capped a fine personal display by diving over with two minutes to play before the Brumbies got a consolation try in the final action of the game when Matt Giteau made a score for replacement winger Francis Fainifo.
