The struggling Cheetahs have made wholesale changes as they prepare to face the Waratahs in Sydney on Friday.
Most notable is coach Naka Drotske's decision to change his half-backs. Tewis de Bruyn has replaced Falie Oelschig at scrum-half while Jacques-Louis Potgieter will start at fly-half in the place of Conrad Barnard.
Elsewhere in the back-line, Meyer Bosman will be partnered by Hendrik Meyer in midfield as JW Jonker, who has played every match so far this season, is being rested.
In the pack Barend Pieterse, who has a calf injury, is replaced by David de Villiers at lock.
Springbok prop CJ van der Linde makes his return to the starting line-up in the place off the injured Kobus Calldo.
The Cheetahs are languishing in 13th place in the table after four straight defeats.
