Wasps have opted to axe England captain Phil Vickery from their squad to face Clermont despite the fact he is not due to face disciplinary chiefs until December 19.
Vickery has been cited for allegedly trampling on Clermont's Thibaut Privat in the first match between the two European rivals.
However his hearing in Dublin is not due to be held until Wednesday - but Wasps have decided not to select the giant prop.
Instead Nick Adams comes into the front row as one of three changes from the side that lost 37-27 at the Parc des Sports Marcel-Michelin.
Tom Rees, who came off the bench on Sunday, starts in the back row in place of John Hart, while Josh Lewsey gets the nod ahead of Mark van Gisbergen at full-back.
Former Wasps favourite Alex King will start against his former team-mates when Clermont arrive at Adams Park on Saturday.
Experience
King, who departed these shores for France in the summer, came on as a second half replacement in the first match between the two sides - however, Clermont have opted to utilise his experience for the away leg.
Clermont also welcome back World Cup-winning captain John Smit to their pack as they look to secure a win which would go a long way to securing their place in the last eight.
The French outfit have named Arnaud Jacquet and Christophe Samson in the second row with Jamie Cudmore moving to the back row to join Fabien Alexandre on the flanks.
In the backs Seremaïa Bai gets the nod at full-back, while there is a new-look centre partnership of Grant Esterhuizen and Pierre-Manuel Garcia.
