Fly-half Glen Jackson is back in the Saracens squad after missing the opening two rounds of the Guinness Premiership season with an ankle injury.
Sarries director of Rugby Alan Gaffney names last year's PRA Player of the Year on the bench for the trip to Headingley, with former Leeds playmaker Gordon Ross retaining the number 10 jersey for now.
Veteran prop Kevin Yates gets a first start of the season while David Seymour comes in for the rested Richard Hill.
Paul Gustard starts at No.8 while Aaron Liffchak's ability to play on either side of the front row sees him get the nod as the replacement prop.
Injuries to Kevin Sorrell and Dan Scarbrough mean Rodd Penney starts at outside centre and Richard Haughton comes in alongside Edd Thrower and Francisco Leonelli.
Improvement
Gaffney said: "Leeds led Gloucester at half time in their opening match of the season and that's something we couldn't do against the same team last weekend. They will be a very hard side to beat.
"If we play like we did in the first 20 minutes against Gloucester last weekend then we can put in a good performance, but if we play like we did in the last half of that game we will struggle.
"We're creating chances and playing some good rugby which is a massive positive, but we just need to improve in certain areas and that is something we have focused on this week."
Debutant
Leeds Carnegie are set to blood the youngest player in the Guinness Premiership on Sunday.
Seventeen-year-old Calum Clark has played his way through the ranks of the Leeds Academy system since the age of 14.
The England Under 18s starlet is one of eight changes for the West Yorkshire side to the team that were outplayed at Harlequins.
Tommy McGee, Vili Ma'asi and Colin Noon make up a brand new front three, whilst new signing Erik Lund will make his first start for the club.
Jon Dunbar (hamstring) makes way from the back row and Richard Vasey replaces James Brooks (thigh).
Richard Welding will switch to full-back meanwhile, with Lee Blackett moving to centre.
