Scarlets claimed a club-record seventh Guinness PRO12 win in a row as they came back to win 20-8 against Zebre in Italy.
The Welsh side actually trailed at the midway point and should have been further behind than they were after Edoardo Padovani missed four kicks out of five in the first half.
That allowed the visitors to come from 8-6 down to make it a trio of victories at the start of the new campaign following four successively at the end of last season.
The first win of their current sequence also came at Zebre in April and back then they had to fight hard for their 28-26 success.
This match began with relative discomfort too as the hosts forged ahead despite Dries van Schalkwyk being sin-binned 23 minutes in.
All Scarlets had at the break was a pair of Dan Jones penalties and they trailed thanks to Mattia Bellini's long-range try.
Wayne Pivac's men rallied after the restart, however, and James Davies' try three minutes into the second half put them ahead for the first time.
Although Jones missed the conversation, his penalty soon after made it 14-8 as the league leaders edged further in front.
Replacement Steve Shingler scored a penalty of his own before adding another as Zebre lost Emiliano Coria to a yellow card.
The away side were also reduced to 14 men as George Earle spent the last nine minutes in the sin-bin but Scarlets were comfortable as they recorded a fifth consecutive away win.
