Peter Keen has been appointed as the new interim performance director of the Lawn Tennis Association.
Keen, the former performance director at British Cycling and UK Sport, replaces Bob Brett, who resigned from his permanent role after just one year in July.
He will also be seconded from his role as director of sports advancement and strategy at Loughborough University.
"I am hugely excited by the opportunity to take on this interim role," Keen said.
"In the short time I have spent with the leadership and performance teams at the LTA, I have been impressed by their collective desire to move forward, think out of the box, and above all their aspiration to build a world-leading high performance programme that delivers at all levels of participation."
Keen has also attended five Olympic Games as a Great Britain team official and LTA chief executive Michael Downey believes Keen will provide the perfect stop gap before making a permanent appointment following the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
"The search for a performance director has been very encouraging to date with many impressive candidates identified," Downey said.
"However, in order to deliver the widest possible candidate list, we realise we need to wait until after the summer Olympics in Rio.
"Therefore, we have decided to put an interim leadership solution in place given the importance of advancing Great Britain's high performance agenda."
