Monterrey Open: Kimiko Date-Krumm into last four; Ana Ivanovic to face Caroline Wozniacki

Japanese veteran Kimiko Date-Krumm continued her run at the Monterrey Open as she advanced to the semi-finals with victory over Monica Puig.
The 43-year-old won the first set but her Puerto Rican opponent claimed the second on a tie break before Date-Krumm closed out a 6-4 6-7 (7/2) 6-4 win.
She will next face Serbian Jovana Jaksic who was a 6-3 6-0 winner over American qualifier Julia Boserup.
Second seed Ana Ivanovic survived a second-set collapse to beat Magdalena Rybarikova in her quarter-final.
The Serbian took the first set 6-1 but dropped the second without winning a game before eventually rallying for a 6-1 0-6 6-2 win.
Third seed Caroline Wozniacki will be her opponent in the semis after the Dane produced a battling performance to beat Karolina Pliskova 6-7 (7/3) 6-3 6-3.
