Highlights of the Vitality Superleague match between Celtic Dragons and Sirens

It was a famous night for Celtic Dragons after they sealed their first win of the Vitality Superleague season with a 55-52 victory over Sirens in Cardiff on Monday night.

Jamaica international Carla Borrego had her shooting shoes on in the opening quarter, firing 13 out of 17, to help the visitors into a comfortable 15-11 advantage.

But Dragons' competitive nature helped them close the gap to just three goals after seeing their captain Suzy Drane roll her right ankle midway through the second quarter.

Sirens head coach Gail Parata admitted Dragons deserved to win

Winning head coach, Trish Wilcox said: "The girls put it out there in all four quarters. The Green Army came out in force and they did make a difference.

"Today was all about letting it go when it was on and being patient. We put defensive pressure up to slow the ball down, so a couple of the key applications that we talked about, they did and as a coach you can't ask for more."
