Verdict

Liquid Lover continues to search for an elusive victory and he has most to fear on this occasion from Another Con and Melograno. Liquid Lover invariably travels well in races but rarely finds as much as it would appear. Eddie Ahern has been "jocked off" as connections see if Shane Kelly can work the oracle. Another Con ran much better than his most recent finishing position suggests. He reared at the start and lost many lengths as a consequence. There were few finishing better than him at the finish. Melograno ran disappointingly at Southwell on his most recent appearance at the track. He had shaped well in a nine furlong at the heat at Dunstall Park and is watched in the market. Twentytwosilver has shown glimpses of ability and did show a modicum of form when tried over thirteen furlongs at Lingfield. Unfortunately a win ratio of one from 44 does not inspire confidence. Free Style has won on four occasions at Lingfield Park. She is returned to banded stakes after making no impression in handicaps. College Rebel is dropped in trip after appearing not to stay sixteen furlongs. Gary Moore sets the handicapper a poser by sending out ex-German horse, Galantos. Formerly trained by Christian Von Der Recke, he had won a handicap on soft going at Cologne over 1m3f. It will be fascinating to see if there is any money for him here. Liquid Lover has proved incredibly costly to follow so he is advised albeit at minimum stakes.
