Premiership round-up: Round 15 victories for Leicester Tigers and Worcester Warriors

A look around the Aviva Premiership grounds with one game still to play in Round 15 of England's domestic competition.

With the Six Nations taking a break this week, all rugby attentions turn back to the domestic leagues.

Here's all has happened so far with a trip to the Ricoh Arena to come...

Sale 3-13 Saracens

On Friday, Saracens moved to the top of the Aviva Premiership table following a 13-3 triumph over Sale Sharks at the AJ Bell Stadium.

The Londoners controlled the majority of the first half and moved 10-3 ahead thanks to Liam Williams' converted try and Ben Spencer's penalty.

Faf de Klerk provided the Sharks' response in the opening period but the hosts continued to struggle after the interval.

Although the home side created a few opportunities, Sarries were the better team and sealed the win through Spencer, who kicked the only points of the second 40 minutes.

Newcastle Falcons 29-12 Bath

Elsewhere, Newcastle completed an Aviva Premiership double over Bath with a 29-12 victory at Kingston Park.

The Falcons, who gained a narrow 33-32 win at the Recreation Ground earlier in the season, bounced back from defeat at Saracens by racking up four tries in a bonus-point victory.

Scores from Sinoti Sinoti, Toby Flood, Kyle Cooper and Niki Goneva booked the victory, with Cooper Vuna and Anthony Perenise on the scoresheet for Bath.

Newcastle have not lost at home since the end of November and are in the Anglo Welsh Cup semi-finals as well as the European Challenge Cup last eight.

Northampton 25-17 London Irish

George North sent Wales coach Warren Gatland a timely reminder on Saturday by sparking a strong second-half fightback to secure the Saints' victory over the Exiles.

Nick Kennedy's side had led 14-3 at the break thanks to a first-half double from Alex Lewington.

But the Saints stormed back early in the second period, scoring three times in the first 10 minutes of the half to increase Irish's relegation fears - they're now 16 points adrift at the bottom of the table.

North, Rob Horne and Mike Haywood were the home side's try-scorers and Piers Francis made the game safe with a drop goal.

Two minutes from time Greig Tonks had the chance to pick up a losing bonus-point for London Irish, but his penalty missed the mark.

Leicester 33-18 Harlequins

Leicester maintained their hopes of an appearance in the end-of-season play-offs with a crucial Round 15 home victory.

Matt Toomua's first-half accuracy with the boot put the home side 9-8 ahead at the break.

Luke Wallace struck first in the second half before Toomua gained a five-pointer of his own and duly converted it to put Leicester back in front.

Graham Kitchener's score extended their lead and the conversion from the Australian put them 10 points clear - 23-13 - at the start of the final quarter.

Off a catch and drive Charlie Matthews hit back for Harlequins with 10 minutes to go but the final stages of the game belonged to the hosts.

Toomua's last penalty was scored with four minutes remaining and an intercept from Adam Thompstone on the final play sealed victory.

Worcester 25-15 Gloucester

Alan Solomons' Worcester Warriors plumped the cushion between them and London Irish who sit at the foot of the Premiership table thanks to a three-try victory over Gloucester.

An impressive opening 20 minutes saw them put three tries on the board through Jonny Arr, Jamie Shillcock and Josh Adams.

Chris Pennell converted the opening two tries and added a penalty. Gloucester's points came from the boots of Billy Twelvetrees and Burns plus a five-pointer from Matt Scott to make it 22-10 at the break.

Henry Trinder's 49th-minute try trimmed Worcester's advantage to seven points however their hosts held firm for the rest of the game and Pennell's second penalty of the afternoon secured victory.
