Butler vs Hall: Paul Butler dismisses sparring claims from Stuart Hall before rematch on Saturday

Paul Butler denied sparring claims from Stuart Hall ahead of their rematch and expects to produce a more convincing victory at the Echo Arena.
But Butler is delighted with his preparations under new trainer Joe Gallagher and wants to improve on his past victory over Hall, which saw him rip away the IBF bantamweight belt with a split decision victory in 2014.
Speaking at the pre-fight press conference, Butler said: "Don't worry about that sparring. That sparring will be fine come Saturday night.
"My training has gone perfect and you're going to see a brilliant Paul Butler on Saturday night. A lot better than the first fight.
"If he starts quick, I can see it ending early. The more pressure he brings, the more shots he will walk into."
Hall has based himself in Birmingham with coach Max McCracken, training alongside WBA super-flyweight champion Kal Yafai, and is confident about avenging his loss.
"I respect Paul, he's a great fighter," said Hall. "It was a good fight last time, very close. But I'm in a different place now, I've had a great camp and sparring. I'm ready for this fight."
On the undercard, Ohara Davies challenges Tom Farrell for the WBA international super-lightweight title and the controversial Londoner lived up to his reputation by giving a dismissive assessment of his opponent.
"I've been watching him and there's nothing about him really," said the Hackney man.
"Tom isn't lasting more than three rounds in this fight. I said to my coach, 'if this fight goes past round six, what future have I got in this game?
"This is not a 50-50 fight, this is a 97-3 fight."
But Farrell hit back in a heated verbal exchange and believes he will expose Davies as a one-dimensional fighter.
"Yeah he's a puncher, but other than that he doesn't bring much to the table," said Farrell. "I've had 10 solid weeks of hard training and I'm ready for this fight."
Watch Ohara Davies against Tom Farrell on the undercard for Paul Butler versus Stuart Hall, with Rocky Fielding battling David Brophy and Sean Dodd taking on Tom Stalker, from 7pm this Saturday on Sky Sports Arena.
