Carl Frampton and Scott Quigg shared a lengthy staredown as they made weight for their world title unification clash.

In a long-awaited super-bantamweight battle, IBF belt holder Frampton will finally face WBA 'super' champion Quigg in Manchester on Saturday night, live on Sky Sports Box Office.

After successfully weighing in under the 122lb mark, the British rivals shared an intense face-off for over a minute, but there was no repeat of the pushing and shoving which broke out at the final press conference.

Arriving first, Quigg tipped the scales at 121.6lbs, easily under the 8st 10 limit, and raised a triumphant fist to his local fans.

The Bury fighter insists he is paying little attention to the ongoing row over the home changing room and is confident he will produce a convincing victory.

"I'll get changed at home and come to the ring, it means nothing to me," Quigg told Sky Sports News HQ. "The changing rooms is nonsense.

Quigg insists Frampton will not reach the final bell

"When the first bell rings, that is when the pressure takes over and when the pressure is on, that's when I thrive. I'll go in there and I'll dominate until it's over."

Barry McGuigan says Quigg can have the 'home' dressing room

Frampton followed him onto the stage and a brief bout of pushing broke out between his trainer Shane McGuigan and opposing cornerman Joe Gallagher.

Any fears about the Belfast man's weight were quickly dispelled as he weighed in at 121.7lbs and received a roar of support from his manager Barry McGuigan.

"I made the weight easy," Frampton told Sky Sports News HQ. "The check-weight was on point. I did it easier than I've ever done it.

Shane McGuigan slams Quigg's trainer

"Everything's going wrong for them and I'm on fire, ready to go.

"It's the only real rivalry I've had in my career. Five years brewing and it's getting better. Look at this crowd. Half of them isn't here yet - there's going to be an invasion tomorrow. It's unbelievable."
