Jason Roy has been named in a strong England Lions squad for their tour of the UAE in November and December.
The Surrey batsman is well established in the England white-ball set-up but has a chance to prove his red-ball credentials after his inclusion in a 15-strong squad for a one-off four-day match against Pakistan A in Abu Dhabi.
Kent skipper Sam Billings is also included, as is Durham seamer Mark Wood in a squad filled with players who have been involved in full England squads in the last 12 months.
Lancashire leg-spinner Matt Parkinson gets his chance in both the four-day and white-ball squads after impressing with the Old Trafford county, particularly in white-ball cricket, and 20-year-old Middlesex left-hander Max Holden is also in both squads.
The Lions will start their tour on November 18 with the four-day game before playing five one-day games between November 25 and December 5. The tour ends with a pair of T20 matches on December 7 and 8.
