Moeen Ali and Jason Roy could return to the England XI for the second one-day international against Pakistan at the Ageas Bowl on Saturday.
Ali missed the series opener at The Oval with a rib injury while Roy was ruled out due to a back problem, but the pair took a full part in training on Friday and, if passed fit, are expected to come straight back into the team.
That would likely mean Roy replacing James Vince at the top of the order with Ali coming in for Joe Denly.
The series remains level after the first ODI was rained off after just 19 overs with Pakistan 80-2. There was time for Jofra Archer and Liam Plunkett each to claim a wicket with the former taking 1-6 from four overs as he continues to push for a place in England's final World Cup squad.
England have until May 22 to finalise their 15 for the tournament, but Pakistan head coach Mickey Arthur has no doubt that Archer will be part of it.
"Without a doubt!" he told Sky Sports. "I'd certainly be picking him.
"He was very, very impressive the other day, I've got to be honest. And watching him over a period of time he's been very impressive.
"I think he made his debut against Pakistan in 2016 for Sussex and I think he got five in that innings. Just watching his career develop, he's been outstanding but there are a lot of very good English cricketers at the moment."
