David Lloyd praised England's 'flexible' approach following their T20I series win over Pakistan, saying the young side are 'a pleasure to watch'.
England took an unassailable 2-0 lead in three-match contest when holding on for a thrilling three-run win in Dubai on Friday, despite Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi smacking 24 off eight balls to almost snatch a series-levelling victory for the hosts.
"It was very impressive from England to hold their nerve," said Lloyd. "They were under the cosh, under real pressure, and I had my money on Pakistan.
"Afridi just gave himself too much to do in the end. You looked at the board and saw he wasn't in till No 8, England will have been delighted with that as he can change a game.
"He gave his side a sniff, and they should have perhaps got over the line but [it was] wonderful bowling again from England to come back into the game. They just soaked up the pressure and that was key.
"The team is flexible. You can go back a long time and find England were very rigid - a seamer here, seamer there - but now they're different. They've got options, and those bowlers are experiencing different conditions.
"These are all young players, and I think that is key, they're all very easy with each other, try to do outrageous things on the field, all with a big smile on their face. They're a pleasure to watch.
"That's down to [coach] Trevor Bayliss, he is a terrific bloke. The team do their prep work, work hard, and then I'm absolutely certain that when it comes down to game time, he just says, 'We've prepared right, go and entertain me'."
