Hampshire all-rounder Liam Dawson has signed a contract extension which will see him remain at the club until the end of the 2019 season.
The 26-year-old's current deal, signed in 2014, was due to expire at the end of next year but he has now committed himself to the club for the next three seasons.
The left-arm spinner and middle-order batsman was awarded his first England cap this summer, claiming 3-24 on debut in England's eight-wicket IT20 victory over Sri Lanka at the Ageas Bowl in July.
He also made his ODI debut, and featured in England's victorious 50-over touring party of Bangladesh earlier this month.
"It's very pleasing to sign a new three year contract here at Hampshire," said Dawson, who joined the Hampshire Academy U11s 16 years ago.
"The club have shown faith in me, which is great, and having been here since I was 10 years old, to sign a new long-term deal is great.
"It's an exciting time for the club at the minute and all of the guys are looking forward to the new season. Hopefully, with the squad that we'll have next year, we can really push on in all formats.
"I'm really hoping to make a huge contribution, not just next season but for the next three years."
Since making his First XI debut in 2007, Dawson has been a prominent member of the side. He enjoyed one of his best seasons this year, totalling more than 1,300 runs at an average of 45.19 while also claiming 47 wickets across all formats.
