England were put into bat first in the third ODI in Barbados and here's how they got on

Joe Root scored his 20th international century as England thrashed West Indies to win by 186 runs in the third ODI and seal a 3-0 clean sweep in the series.

Click play on the video above to watch the best of the action as Alex Hales smashed five sixes on his way to 110 (off 107 balls) on his return to the side before West Indies were bowled out for 142.

Hales and Root put on 192 for the second wicket, but England somewhat stuttered to a finish, losing their last nine wickets for 109 runs to be bowled out for 328 off the final ball of their innings.

But Ben Stokes biffed 34 off 20 balls to at least see the tourists post the first score above 300 in the three-match series.

Earlier, after being put into bat by their hosts, England struggled for fluency at the start of their innings, losing Jason Roy (17) cheaply, while Root was dropped twice, on one by Evin Lewis at square leg and 12 by Ashley Nurse in the slips.

Hales also survived a scare later in his innings after being given out lbw to offspinner Kraigg Brathwaite when on 93, but the decision was overturned after his review showed the ball would have missed off-stump.

Evin Lewis went off the field with a injury sustained whilst fielding in the third ODI against England

To make matters worse for the West Indies, in the 15th over of the England innings, Lewis appeared to badly injury himself when fielding in the deep.

Lewis was fit enough to come out and open the batting for the Windies but was one of three early wickets to fall as the home side were reduced to 13-3 inside four overs.

The wickets continued to fall at regular intervals with only Jonathan Carter (46) putting up any meaningful resistance.

Chris Woakes and Liam Plunkett each took three wickets while Stokes gained a modicum of revenge for last year's World T20 final when he trapped Carlos Brathwaite (7) lbw.

The West Indies lower order dug in but it only delayed an inevitable England victory, one that was confirmed when Adil Rashid had Devendra Bishoo caught at midwicket in the 40th over.
