England's Jos Buttler challenges Andrew Flintoff to see who can hit the ball further

Jos Buttler or Andrew Flintoff - who hits the ball further?

We staged our very own six-hitting contest to find out whether the modern-day cricketer gets more distance - with Nasser Hussain (not known for going large) adjudicating.

Click on the video above to see the two go head to head at Trent Bridge as the pair look to launch Rob Key's throw-downs into the stands in a best-of-three-ball competition.

Flintoff and Buttler also offer insights into their own techniques, explaining how they set themselves up to deliver as much power as possible through the ball - and why sometimes chasing maximums all went wrong.

Buttler also explains the importance of a good head position and how using his wrists enables him to get extra distance by creating more speed - as well as how he adjusts the angle of his bat to combat some of the best bowlers in the world.
