Saqib Mahmood's brilliant 5-14 saw Lancashire bowl Leicestershire out for just 80 en route to a emphatic nine-wicket win in the Royal London One-Day Cup at Old Trafford.

Having been put in, the visitors slipped to 32-4 as Mahmood accounted for the first four Foxes wickets, including bowling the in-form Colin Ackermann for two.

England seamer James Anderson returned figures of 1-27 from his 10 overs before Mahmood became the first Lancashire player to take consecutive five-wicket hauls in List A matches when he had Ben Mike caught for 18, with Leicestershire capitulating in only 37 overs.

The hosts were made to work hard to knock off the meager total but Haseeb Hameed (29no) and Steven Croft (37no) took their side over the line in just 19 overs.

It was Lancashire's third win from five matches in this season's One-Day Cup campaign while Leicestershire's poor form continued as they were condemned to a fifth defeat in six games.

Also in the North Group, Sam Hain hit a sublime unbeaten 161 as Warwickshire sealed a 34-run victory over local rivals Worcestershire at New Road. SCORECARD

The 23-year-old was the only Warwickshire batsman to get a handle on the pitch, blasting 10 fours and six maximums in his 161 off 141 balls to propel the away team to a competitive 315-5.

Worcestershire looked to be cruising in their reply, reaching 86-0 off 12 overs but, when Warwickshire captain and spinner Jeetan Patel bowled Riki Wessels (37), the home side lost 5-18.

Seamer Aaron Thomason had Hamish Rutherford (42) caught behind and after Hain brilliantly ran out Daryl Mitchell (2), Patel then bowled Brett D'Oliveira and removed Ben Cox for a duck as the Pears slipped to 145-7.

Wayne Parnell counter-attacked and came close to handing Worcestershire a shock victory, striking eight boundaries in his 76 off 57, but the South African was the last man to fall as the hosts were bowled out for 281.

Nottinghamshire Outlaws maintained their unbeaten run with a simple four-wicket win over Yorkshire Vikings to notch their fifth consecutive victory in the tournament this season at Trent Bridge. SCORECARD

Jake Ball was the pick of the bowlers for the Outlaws, picking up the important scalps of Gary Ballance (25), James Tattersall (19) and removing Matt Pillans for a duck to return figures of 3-32 and help bowl out the Vikings for 213 in 42.2 overs - opener Adam Lyth top-scoring with 63 off 54 balls.

All of the home batsmen made contributions in their chase, aside from Jake Libby who was caught behind off Pillans for a first-ball duck, with Notts captain Steven Mullaney hitting an unbeaten 54 to take his side home with 15.3 overs to spare.

Michael Richardson's second half-century of the tournament helped Durham clinch a narrow three-wicket win against Derbyshire Falcons in a low-scoring match at Chester-le-Street. SCORECARD

The Falcons were inserted by Cameron Bancroft and, although a number of their batsmen made starts, no-one pushed on for a big score with Matt Critchley's unbeaten 49 seeing the visitors to 255-8.

Despite losing Graham Clark to the second ball of the match for a duck, the hosts rallied and a 78-run third-wicket stand between Alex Lees (55) and captain Bancroft (45) put Durham on the front foot before Richardson's unbeaten 72 saw them reach their target with 20 balls remaining.

Meanwhile, in the South Group, Hampshire fell to their first defeat of the One-Day Cup as Essex secured a resounding 111-run victory at Chelmsford. SCORECARD

After opting to bat, the 150-run fifth-wicket partnership between Ravi Bopara and Ryan ten Doeschate propelled Essex, as they struck 22 boundaries between them before both fell for 89 as the Eagles posted 341-6.

The regular loss of wickets stymied the visitors' progress in the run chase and although Rilee Rossouw was in full flow, striking 93 off 72 balls, Matt Coles (4-48) and Bopara (3-39) bundled Hampshire out for 230.

Billy Root's unbeaten century earned Glamorgan a comprehensive 64-run win over Surrey in Cardiff. SCORECARD

South African seamer Morne Morkel trapped Marnus Labuschagne (5) lbw, bowling Chris Cooke for a two-ball duck and dismissing Jeremy Lawlor (16) to reduce the hosts to 50-3 early on.

Despite seeing his batting partners regularly fall around him, Root remained calm and put on an important unbroken 123-run eighth-wicket stand with Marchant de Lange as he brought up his hundred in the 48th over off 111 balls, finishing unbeaten on 113 to take Glamorgan to an impressive 323-7.

All-rounder De Lange (4-63) then bagged four wickets, including removing visitors' captain and England batsman Rory Burns for a single and top-scorer Jordan Clark (79), as Surrey were bowled out for 259 in 46.4 overs.

Gloucestershire earned bragging rights over their neighbours Somerset after securing a final-over four-wicket win in Bristol. SCORECARD

Lewis Gregory's third half-century of the competition was the mainstay of the visitors' innings while Pakistan opener Azhar Ali (43) and captain Tom Abell (42) chipped in with useful contributions to drag their side to 242-9.

The hosts stumbled to 114-5 as all-rounder Gregory (2-38) dismissed Gareth Roderick (25) and Benny Howell (0) off consecutive balls but Graeme van Buuren steadied the ship with a well-made 61.

And Jack Taylor (43no) and Ryan Higgins (30no) shared an unbeaten 49-run seventh-wicket partnership to take Gloucestershire to their target with four balls to spare.
