Hampshire duo Lewis McManus and Tom Alsop sign new deals

Hampshire duo Lewis McManus and Tom Alsop have signed new contracts until the end of the 2019 season.

McManus established himself as Hampshire's first choice wicketkeeper in the Specsavers County Championship last season, while former England U19s batsman Alsop is one of the club's brightest young prospects.

"It means a lot to commit to Hampshire for another three years and it's nice to repay the faith they've shown in me," McManus said.

"It was a no brainer to stay with the club that I've grown up in and around and I'm pleased that I have the opportunity to continue working with coaches and players that I've built friendships with."

Alsop added: "I'm delighted to put pen to paper on a new three-year contract with Hampshire. The club have certainly got a bright future and I'm pleased to be able to continue to be a part of something special here at the Ageas Bowl."
