England captain Heather Knight should be back for the Women's World Cup warm-up games in June despite suffering a stress fracture in her foot.
Knight is expected to miss up to six weeks after being diagnosed with a small metatarsal fracture in her left foot.
She will wear a protective boot for the next two or three weeks to speed up her recovery.
After that period, Knight will be able to return to light training and continue her build-up to full fitness.
England begin their warm-up campaign against Sri Lanka on June 19 in Chesterfield.
They also play New Zealand before beginning their World Cup campaign against India on June 24 in Derby.
