Jos Buttler wants to retain flexibility in England batting order

Jos Buttler's form has seen him promoted as England's Twenty20 opener, but he is ready to drop down the order again should it help his team.
The wicketkeeper-batsman smashed another T20I fifty - 69 off 46 balls - in England's eight-wicket defeat against India at Old Trafford, taking his remarkable run of half-centuries to a sprint-format world-best seven in eight innings.
England will look to bounce back in the three-match Vitality IT20 series against India in Cardiff on Friday, live on Sky Sports Cricket.

Buttler was deployed as opener for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL in the 2018 season, with his form continuing for his country.
"It's a fantastic place to bat... refreshing. "Whether that's me opening forever, I don't know... I'd hope to retain the flexibility.
"I do think it's the best place to bat, but it comes down to the make-up of the team."
Buttler attributes his improvement to more measured mental preparation, learned in part in the IPL.
"When I was younger I didn't pay much attention to that or trust it enough - it was all about technique in practice.
"Being calm is allowing me to make good decisions."
He added: "It's about understanding you shouldn't get too flustered. With spin, it can all happen quickly.
"Suddenly you have faced a few balls and aren't off the mark... so it's not allowing that to affect you."
Kuldeep Yadav bagged 5-24 at Old Trafford on Tuesday, including three wickets in his third over when he had Morgan (7) caught in the deep and Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root stumped by MS Dhoni for golden ducks.
"It's very rare, and he's a very good bowler," added Buttler of Yadav.
"It's now down to the guys to gain an understanding. You see it a lot in international cricket that guys burst on to the scene, and then people get a handle on them.
"We know we are a lot better than we showed during that little phase of the game."
