Look back at some of the most dramatic moments to have taken place around the Miami International Autodrome

Formula 1 is back with the Miami Grand Prix on Sunday after more than a month without a race.

There has been a late change to Sunday's schedule amid the threat of thunderstorms, with the race start time moved three hours earlier to 6pm UK time (1pm local) in a bid to avoid the worst of the weather.

World championship leader Kimi Antonelli will start from pole position, as he seeks to extend his six-point lead over his Mercedes team-mate George Russell at the top of the standings.

Mercedes won the first three races of the season but a McLaren one-two in Saturday's Miami Sprint suggested upgrades brought in the five-week gap since the Japanese Grand Prix have tightened the race at the front.

Antonelli hit back by taking pole for the full-length race, but a mixture of cars behind him - with Max Verstappen second for Red Bull and Charles Leclerc third for Ferrari - promise an entertaining race on Sunday.

The likelihood of rain at some point will only add to the drama, with Formula 1's all new cars for 2026 yet to have raced in wet conditions.

Miami GP track - Miami International Autodrome

Miami joined the F1 calendar in 2022 and the track layout offers plenty of good chances for overtaking, with moves possible at the end of the long straights down to Turn 11 and Turn 17.

Being a street circuit, the walls are close, so mistakes will be punished. But to be quick, you need to be right against the barriers.
