Michael Ryan will be staying on as Tipperary hurling manager after being given a fresh three-year term.

Ryan led the Premier County to an All-Ireland title in 2016, his first season in charge, while they were defeated by eventual champions Galway in the semi-finals of this year's competition.

Ryan won an All-Ireland hurling medal as a player in 1991 and has previously served as a selector under both Liam Sheedy and Eamon O'Shea.

His backroom team will also remain in place with Declan Fanning, John Madden and Conor Stakelum all returning as selectors.
