Kansas City Chiefs have removed safety Eric Berry from their injury report on Friday making him eligible for Sunday's AFC Championship game against the New England Patriots.

Berry, who was listed as having a heel injury, was a full participant during Friday's training session - making it the third straight day he had took part in practice.

The 30-year-old had missed the first 13 regular season games, coming back from in the injury for two games in December, before missing the finale and the 13-31 playoffs divisional round victory over the Indianapolis Colts after re-injuring his heel.

Asked how he is feeling physically, Berry said: "I feel pretty good. I wanted to go in that game [against the Colts]. Just a lot of complications I can't really explain, hopefully this weekend it will be different.

"Right now, I just now it's moving in the right direction and I want to get on the field on Sunday."

One man who is looking forward to seeing Berry back on the field is defensive coordinator Bob Sutton, whose defense last week forced the Colts to go three plays and punt on each of their first four possessions.

Sutton said: "He [Berry] has great speed and range, I think he's our most physical football player. So when you have those qualities and you have playmaking ability, you have the chance to affect the game.

"The one thing about speed on defense is that it isn't always the plays you make, it's sometimes the plays you prevent, he has that ability in him.

"The other part of it that he brings is the players to respond to him. They appreciate all he's been through and what he's done here and what kind of player he is."
