Overnight temperatures did not dip as low as forecast meaning Market Rasen's meeting today will go ahead as planned.
Officials were worried on Monday as some forecasts predicted a low of minus 2C with snow and sleet showers a possibility also.
A 9am inspection was called but by 7am the meeting was given the green light without hesitation.
A tweet from the official Market Rasen Twitter account read: "Racing goes ahead! No inspection required. Today's Going: Soft
"Overnight low of -1C. Forecast to be a cold day with some sunny spells but highs of only 2C."
