This afternoon's Flat fixture at Ayr has passed a precautionary inspection and goes ahead as scheduled.
Officials had been wary about the possibility of waterlogging and intended to check conditions at 8pm.
But after having sustained 7.5 millimetres of rainfall within the last 24 hours, clerk of the course Graeme Anderson was happy to make an earlier-than-expected decision to give the meeting the go-ahead.
The going at Ayr is heavy, with the first of seven races due to start at 2pm.
