Verdict

BALLY RONE has his first run under Rules away from Ffos Las but he brings the best form into the race and, with Patrick Corbett taking off 7lb again, looks the one to beat unless affected by travel sickness. Life And Soul profited from the departure of the odds-on Fair Trade at Wetherby but may have won anyway. He won't go down without a fight while Cool Macavity will have learned plenty from his debut victory at Southwell. The slower conditions probably aren't in his favour, however. Sky Khan shouldn't be ignored getting plenty of weights from his seniors as he's shown his best form with some give in the ground and got taken off his feet at Ascot last time.
