Verdict

Despite the small field there are some potentially very smart novice chasers lining up here, not least Andreas, who we take to score from Feel The Pride and Baby Run. The selection was virtually flawless earlier in the year, winning three of his four starts over fences, and falling at the last when well clear at Perth in the other. He clearly has plenty of speed for this division, and aside from that error he has jumped impeccably. He looks destined to make it into the top echelon and he can take this on the way to doing so. His presence may have scared a few off here, but Jonjo O'Neill is double-handed and his best chance looks to be with Feel The Pride, who won three off the reel in the spring and is another suited by decent ground and the minimum trip. He'd have to improve a few pounds to trouble the selection, but he looks classy and whatever happens there are more good races in him. Baby Run looks the pick of the others, though this is his chasing debut and he will surely benefit from the experience, but on who already has that is Andreas, and he can take this decent prize.
