Verdict
Dutch Law has already had a terrific season and beat Firmament, Squats, Suzi's Connoisseur and Heaven's Guest over course and distance last month. Librisa Breeze was second in the Royal Hunt Cup here in June and then beat Squats over track and trip. He was a respectable fourth in a Group 3 at York last time so goes on the short-list. Growl only found one too good when favourite for the Ayr Gold Cup but has yet to convince over this extra furlong. Remarkable wasn't disgraced behind Ribchester in the Jersey Stakes here in June so is worth a second look, as is the consistent Right Touch, but Afjaan is possibly better on the all-weather and over a mile. BUCKSTAY (NAP) is 8lb higher than when landing this 12 months ago but is at his best on the straight course here and has been in good form again lately, winning a conditions race at Chelmsford and finishing a close-up fourth in a Group 2 at Doncaster. The top weight may be capable of staging a repeat, though Donncha has a consistent record in races of this type and will be staying on again at the death.
