Verdict
The Johnstons’ yard attempt to win this for the third time in succession but Approachability and Sharp Combo both came up short at Goodwood last time. Berkshire Breeze was narrowly beaten over 1m6f here last month while Franz Strauss finished second of three runners over the same trip at Sandown. Pub Crawl could go well under Australian Jason Collett while Frankie partners Chester winner Sheer Rocks but the Haggas yard have another strong contender on the card in HAMAKI. The latter is versatile as regards the going and remains unexposed after scoring at Haydock with further progress expected over this longer trip.
