Verdict

Chesspiece is penalised for an earlier Listed success at Hamilton and was subsequently well beaten in the St Leger along with Middle Earth. The latter had earlier won the Melrose at York and is preferred to stablemate and Park Hill third Lmay, who finished behind Climate Friendly when the latter was beaten a length at York. Ndaawi has a bit to find on these terms but the progressive NAQEEB (NAP) looks ripe for first start in Pattern company having won a valuable handicap over today’s trip at Haydock and the half-brother to Baaeed and Hukum gets the vote.
