    In depth

    Verdict

Achelois could only manage third back in handicap company at Sandown while Caspian Queen came up short in a tougher contest over track and trip last month having won on the all-weather earlier. Keeper's Choice missed out on a hat-trick of course wins at Bath recently and Bellazada failed to build on an earlier success at Newmarket when only sixth at Windsor. It remains to be seen if APPELLATION can improve further having won at Leicester on her handicap debut but Richard Hughes’ filly has the most scope of these and gets a speculative vote.
