Verdict
Neither Jazz or Ifwecan looked anything special when posting modest efforts on their respective debuts though the former ran in what looked a strong Newbury maiden. So it wouldn't be a big surprise if one of the newcomers proved good enough and Finflash is one to note. His yard has won three of the six renewals of this contest but Andrew Balding's stable is in better form and HIGHLAND ACCLAIM gets a speculative vote. The latter is a half-brother to five winning sprinters including the very smart Genki and is preferred to Costa Filey, another with plenty of speed in his pedigree. Langavat's breeding sends out mixed signals regarding today's trip and the 130,000 euros colt, Royal Mezyan, may prove better once tackling longer distances.
