        Formwatch

        Persiano Capable and consistent performer but looks to be in the grip of the Handicapper at present.

        Free Rider Goes well with cut in the ground but although he has won at this trip, all his best efforts have come at seven furlongs

        Brilliant Red In good form this season; best effort came when taking a competitive event over this trip at Goodwood back in May and would hold strong claims if running up to that run.

        Smart Ridge Although he has run respectably at this trip he is also one who may be seen to better effect over shorter.

        Calcutta Chance on the best of his efforts but is not one to trust implicitly.

        Ice Needs things to go his own way and is best when able to dominate, trip and ground no problem and holds good claims if putting his best foot forward.

        Ferzao (IRE) Finished just ahead of Persiano in William Hill mile at Goodwood but has never been seen at his best over this trip, others preferred.

        Highland Reel A little in and out this season and others preferred.

        Jedeydd In fair form of late but stepping up in trip here and over all profile gives him something to find.

        Beyond The Clouds (IRE) Showed little when raced over this trip last year and is passed over.
