Verdict

A dual winner over the minimum trip, BLACKBEARD took the step up to 6f in his stride when landing a Group 3 at the Curragh in good style to remain unbeaten. He’s Ryan Moore’s preferred choice ahead of Age Of Kings, who also won over today’s trip at the Curragh and Frankie takes over the reins. Brocklesby winner Persian Force was successful in a conditions' race at Newbury last time and is preferred to Bradsell, who romped home in novice company at York on his debut. Rousing Encore and Remarkable Force are other conditions' race winners while Royal Scotsman won easily on the soft going at Goodwood last time and the re-opposing runner-up Show Respect has subsequently boosted the form. Late September scored over four-and-a-half furlongs on the Dirt at Churchill Downs.
