    Verdict

Not the strongest of novice events but MENDOZA may prove good enough. Well beaten when placed in soft ground at Epsom last month, Brian Meehan’s colt had finished closer on fast going at Newbury when third on his debut and the runner-up has subsequently won. Glory is a likely improver and Hieronymus showed some progress last time while Nuremberg is a half-brother to a host of winners and preferred of the newcomers to the filly Miss Enigma.
