          Verdict

          Royal Birth won this last year by a head from Robot Boy and has since won in Listed company. He's 12lb higher which should hand the initiative to the runner-up though stall one may not be ideal. Last year's third LEXINGTON ABBEY is running as well as ever as he demonstrated in the Gosforth Park Cup at Newcastle last week when runner-up to Line Of Reason and he's handed the vote. Orion's Bow completed a five-timer early last summer but reserved his best for the Steward's Cup when runner-up to Dancing Star. He's only 1lb higher and he also bounced back to form at Newcastle a week ago. Pipers Note won't mind the conditions and wasn't suited by very quick ground at Haydock last week while Edward Lewis hasn't been beaten far in tough handicaps the last twice. Green Door hasn't been seen since landing a Newmarket handicap at this level a year ago but his trainer has no problems getting one ready.
