Verdict
Ballydoyle run Gowran maiden winner Monarch but Ryan Moore steered OUT AND ABOUT to victory at Haydock last month and keeps the partnership intact. The latter’s pedigree suggests further improvement is likely over today’s extra distance. But there are plenty of alternatives including the Godolphin representatives Folkswood and Yattwee, both winners at Newmarket this year with the former making most appeal having won over today’s trip. Thirsk maiden winner Mustashry scored by six lengths and Predilection can reverse earlier running at Lingfield with Listed winner Sea of Flames. The progressive Garcia and Chief Whip fought out the finish of a hot handicap at Haydock last time with the former just prevailing with Above N Beyond back in third while Oh This Is Us is raised a further 6lb having completed a hat-trick with victory at Goodwood. Abe Lincoln and Defrocked are others to consider and the reserves Nimr and Banksea are also worth a second glance if taking part.
