        Haditovski Will like the underfoot conditions and is better handicapped due to some poor runs on unsuitable surfaces; interesting contestant.

        Water Stratford (IRE) Showed some promise last season and looks the type to improve but might like the conditions a little quicker.

        Zapateado (FR) Would prefer better ground and is somewhat inconsistent; encouragment from latest run after a lean spell but others are preferred.

        Raise A Prince (FR) Likes the ground and the trip but has put in some mixed performances of late; on his day however he can be very smart; one to consider.

        Mukdar (USA) Looks to have lost his love of the game and alternatives to this one should be found.

        Lightning Star (USA) Acts well in the mud and top jockey employed but there is a suspicion that he is a little too high in the weights at present.

        Ayem (IRE) Should improve on last month's run after a long lay-off; although he acts on the ground, he seems the type to do better on faster going.

        Misconduct Would need to be at the top of her game to take a hand here; recent runs don't suggest that she is.

        Townleyhall (IRE) Runs more bad races than good and many others are preferred here today.

        Welsh Padre Could be very well handicapped on old bumper form but has yet to produce the goods over hurdles; stepping up in class.

        Studio Thirty Very unlikely winner of this race judging on his performances over obstacles so far.

        Pridewood Fuggle Stayed on well at Bangor last week without ever looking like winning; more on his plate today and possibly badly handicapped at present.

        Michael Finnegan (IRE) Would need to improve considerably on recent efforts to be amongst the money today.
