Verdict

FORGOTTEN RULES won this last year when last month's Doncaster Cup winner Pallasator was third and Flying Officer sixth. Dermot Weld's stayer can reverse Irish St Leger running with Agent Murphy and Wicklow Brave over this longer trip and land this for a second time given he was also third in the Gold Cup here in June. Clondaw Warrior, Suegioo and Simenon were all behind Pallasator on Town Moor but Clever Cookie shouldn't be left out of calculations as he was possibly held up too far off the pace last time in the Lonsdale Cup at York. Litigant was receiving weight when beating Wicklow Brave and Suegioo in the Ebor while this looks a big ask for the mares Hidden Gold and Gale Force and also three-year-old Amour de Nuit.
