In depth
Verdict
A five times winner over fences, Go Steady got off the mark over hurdles at Leicester at the start of the month but others are preferred. Imphal may also lack a bit of scope but he was given plenty to do when failing to complete the four-timer at Lingfield and holds Thirtyfourstitches on that run - Jamie Moore is back in the saddle. Glencassley is better than he showed at Cheltenham while Delgany Monarch finished ahead of Honor Grey and Itsnotwhatyouthink at Sandown at the start of the year, though Ben Pauling’s charge can do best of that trio today. Young Butler, a half-brother to top chaser Put The Kettle On, built on a debut third by landing the odds on a return visit to Chepstow but the handicapper has taken no chances. GAULOIS is bred for this trip and was staying on over 2m4f at Chepstow so gets the nod. Father John looks the pick of the remainder unless there is significant market support for Ardhill.
