Verdict

Christopher Wood could be interesting having a first run for Venetia Williams but stable jockey Charlie Deutsch rides Good Risk At All for Sam Thomas with the novice coming up against an improver at Warwick when making his handicap debut. CAP DU MATHAN bolted up against decent opposition when returning from a length absence at Taunton. He’s been raised 9lb but could go close again if that run hasn’t emptied the tanks. Highway One O Two followed up a win at Taunton with a second in the Lanzarote at Kempton and seems to have rediscovered his best form but Ballybegg was given a canny ride to score at Uttoxeter and the form hasn’t been franked. Ludlow winner Zacony Rebel was beaten off a lower mark earlier at Huntingdon but has more scope than most of these and Straw Fan Jack is starting to look well treated.
