In depth

Verdict

A host of promising types assemble but Aloomomo sets the standard after a fine campaign last term which saw him deliver a rapid-fire three-timer within a month before applying himself with considerable credit in hot contests here and at Cheltenham. The crux of the matter is that all those performances came over fences and he now reverts to hurdles for this seasonal reappearance. It's tempting to go along with him but LASER LIGHT impressed with the manner in which he dealt with subsequent winner, Rolling Dylan, on his hurdling debut last month and looks a talented performer in the making. Coastal Tiep did well to win last time despite greenness and must be respected along with Elegant Escape and Laval Noir.
