Verdict

Woodford Island was due to run in a handicap here yesterday so it remains to be seen if he makes the line-up. Varom was only beaten a length by KAP JAZZ at Wincanton but never looked like getting to the winner, who idled in front. The step up in trip should suit Venetia Williams' unexposed novice, who is taken to follow up off a 5lb higher mark. Southwell winner Carlo Rocks also appear to be on an upward curve while Minellacelebration is on a hat-trick. Cooper's Friend bounced back fro a poor run at Carlisle to finish fourth at Plumpton and also goes on the short-list along with Exeter runner-up Say My Name and Wait A Second.
