Thirty runners will be thundering up the hill in this very competitive Royal Hunt Cup and we expect Pride Of Nation to be well to the fore and the Cumani runner is selected to beat stable companion Military Cross and Flipando. The Newmarket handler is a master at placing his handicappers and this lightly raced five-year-old looks to have been laid out for this event. He progressed nicely last season and returned to the track with an excellent effort behind the remarkable Blythe Knight. The assessor has given him an extra couple of pounds but that is offset by the likely improvement and he looks the best option in a fascinating contest. Military Cross also made giant strides last season, ending with a terrific effort in a hot handicap at Haydock. He is off the same mark this afternoon so has to be respected. Flipando has been a revelation this season and defied the handicapper with a game victory in the Zetland Gold Cup at Redcar. The drop back in trip will not be a problem and another big run is expected. Minority Report is the third Cumani runner and with main jockey Nicky Mackay on board he also warrants respect, however we turn to his stable companion Pride Of Nation as the more likely winner.
